Snip not Knit
The weather got a little chilly in Swansea, Tasmainia . What's a girl to do? It's off to the op shop. I came across this hoodie - loved the colour but not the style. So I took to it with the scissors and the sewing machine with a little trim of ribbon for the pocket. Now I have something jazzie to wear. While I was at the op shop, I got a couple of other knits and re-created them too. Now don't get me wrong, I love knitting but this is much quicker.
Have a great Wednesday

Life between the sheets
Hi! I hope you are all having a great weekend. I wanted to show you a couple of things you can make from an old sheet (I just loved the colours): an apron and PJs. I still have a little left over to make some little throw pillows which I will do in time. The fabric is so soft, the PJs are just wonderful to wear. I may never take them off. Great for lounging .

Happy Feet
So, there I was on a dutiful grocery trip to the supermaket and I just happened to pass the op shop. There they were!! sparkling at me in the window. Well, I had to go in, didn't I? Yes, my size, just for me. Okay, the pedicure could be a bit better, but it's diy too and it's always just a quick couple of coats of polish. But with these cuties you'd hardly notice, would you?

Mum's Comfy Chair
Hi there - today its once again about some op shop finds. The old chair has a a cover with a fitted white slipcover I made from curtain lining. The pillow has some doylies, hand stitched to it and cut out flowers. An old suit case which holds some of my sewing goodies got two good coats of pink paint. Charlie got a tin chest to hold his toys - that was given a couple of coats of white paint.
The little silver basket and glass grapes were great as they are.

Candle Craft
These were fun to make. The candle holders (an op-shop* find) are brass, which didn't work with my decor so I gave them a white spray paint. It was then on to making the candles. I melted some old candles I had and used tin cans as moulds. To decorate, I put some flowers on baking paper and poured hot wax on them, then rolled the candles up in the baking paper. When the wax was cold, I peeled the baking paper off .
Have fun! Have a go.

Time for a little camping
Here's a little tent I made to go over Charlie's table. It takes up no space, you just slip it on and off.
He and his little friends love to have little secret play in here.
Hope you are all having a great day. I've just been op-shopping and I found myself a great comfy chair. The chair needs some styling, big time! Im so excited!!
